Arsenal are still in the market for one more player after completing the signing of Eberechi Eze.
The Gunners have been active this summer, signing seven players and spending almost £250 million in the process.
Eze became the latest arrival at the Emirates last week, joining from Crystal Palace for £67.5 million.
Andrea Berta is seemingly not prepared to stop there, as he lines up one final addition to complete Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Fabrizio Romano reveals whether Arsenal can still sign Rodrygo
Strengthening the left-hand side of their attack was a priority for the Gunners this summer.
Rodrygo has been heavily linked with Arsenal, and the Brazilian was at one time reportedly Arteta and Berta’s top target to fill this position.
Noni Madueke was signed from Chelsea instead, before Eze was also brought in to compete for a spot on the left wing.
That said, neither is a natural left-winger and it could be argued that this is still an area the North Londoners need to address.
However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that there is no chance Arsenal will move for Rodrygo now, and that speculation linking him with a move to N5 was never ‘concrete’.
“No [Arsenal won’t sign Rodrygo], I think no, to be honest,” Romano said on the Men in Blazers podcast.
“And I think this story has been more powerful in the media than it was in reality between Arsenal and Rodrygo, because the focus was always on Eberechi Eze, let me say. Arsenal always saw Eberechi Eze as the priority in that position.
“Then it accelerated because of the Kai Havertz injury, of course, but with Rodrygo was never something really concrete.”
With Eze viewed as the man to fill the left wing role, it appears Arsenal’s incoming business on the offensive front is done for this summer.
However, Berta still wants to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, who could be the Gunners’ final acquisition in this transfer window.

Eberechi Eze’s statistics vs Rodrygo’s statistics
While Rodrygo is the household name who has won several major trophies, there’s an argument to be made that Arsenal have secured a better player in Eze.
The latter produced significantly better numbers than his Brazilian counterpart last season, both on the surface level and on the underlying metrics.
| Statistical Comparison 2024/25 (League Only) | ||
| Stat | Eze | Rodrygo |
| Appearances | 34 | 30 |
| Goals | 8 | 6 |
| Assists | 8 | 5 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.48 | 2.52 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.36 | 0.19 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.01 | 2.29 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 | 0.14 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.33 | 2.29 |
While Rodrygo was mostly deployed out of position on the right for Real Madrid, and had a general down year, Eze looks better across almost every metric, and in a significantly worse team.
It’s possible that Rodrygo could have rediscovered his best form in a functional Arsenal team in his favoured position, but Eze is a less risky acquisition, given he’s not coming off a down year and is proven in the Premier League.
In fact, the new Arsenal man could even go up a level surrounded by better players and in a more cohesive system.
