Arsenal star Reiss Nelson is closing in on an exit late in the summer transfer window, as a Premier League move is on the cards.
The Hale End academy graduate is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans this season, having failed to make one of his Premier League squads so far.
Nelson spent last season on loan at Fulham, where he showed sparks of quality, only to be blighted by injuries.
Upon his return to the Emirates Stadium, there have been doubts over his future.
A transfer exit for Nelson has been touted all summer, but that move now finally looks set to go through as Arsenal have accepted a deal, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.

Fabrizio Romano reveals Reiss Nelson is set to join Brentford from Arsenal
Nelson has had interest across the Premier League this summer, as Fulham looked at a potential return, while Crystal Palace were also in the mix.
While the two London clubs eyed up a deal, it’s another side from the capital who have swooped in with a deal instead.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Nelson is set to join Brentford on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day.
The transfer expert claims that the Arsenal ace turned down interest from elsewhere to join the Bees, as he looks for more game time.
A medical is now set to follow, as the winger looks to kickstart his career while recapturing some of his best form.
Fulham stars tried to convince Nelson to join the club again, but it looks as though he will be lining up against them instead.
There is still one main concern that comes from the deal for Arsenal, however.

Arsenal must secure permanent transfer exit for Reiss Nelson next summer
While Nelson is finally set to get his transfer switch this summer, it won’t be the sort of deal that Arsenal will have wanted.
The 25-year-old is unlikely to return and be a regular around the team after his loan move, simply delaying his permanent exit.
For Arsenal, that simply has to come next summer, due to his contract situation.
Nelson has a deal until 2027 at the Emirates Stadium, meaning next summer will put him into the final year of his contract.
Another loan would see him leave for free, while any fee earned next year would be registered as pure profit.
It puts more pressure on a permanent exit next summer, while there is hope that Nelson can hit the heights with Brentford.
