Andrea Berta is working tirelessly to get Arsenal’s signings over the line ahead of pre-season.
Mikel Arteta wants his new players to be integrated into the Arsenal squad for the Gunners’ pre-season tour.
The job is well underway, as for the first time, as many as six new signings could be made at Arsenal before the tour starts.
With Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi already on board, Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera are expected to follow shortly.
To say that Arsenal fans are impressed with Berta is an understatement, but the Italian is by no means finished there.

Paul Merson thinks Eberechi Eze is the ‘perfect’ Arsenal signing
Arsenal are interested in Eberechi Eze, who was released by the Gunners during his youth career.
The Crystal Palace star has gone on to become one of the Premier League’s best, leading Berta to take a look at what the 27-year-old could offer Arteta at this time.
Arsenal fans would love to see Eze at the Emirates, but first, sales will need to be made.
Amid the excitement of the expected arrivals of Gyokeres, Mosquera and Madueke, Paul Merson called on his former club not to forget about Eze.
“If you asked me whether Arsenal should sign Eberechi Eze or Madueke, I’d have said Eze all day long,” Merson told Sky Sports, going on to describe the Palace as ‘perfect’.
“Now that’s a deal I can see happening, and it would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. He’s perfect.
“Arsenal struggle when teams come to the Emirates and put everyone behind the ball. Teams want to limit the space Arsenal have to play in and they have struggled to break teams down with those tactics.
“For me, that’s where Eze comes in. He’s got the X-factor and the ability to break a low block down.”
Merson made his admiration for the England international known, calling on Arsenal to make the statement signing who can ‘make something happen’.
“Away from home, maybe he’s not the answer. Against the likes of Liverpool and Man City, they may come under the cosh for a bit, and they may have to play slightly differently.
“But that’s why you have a big squad. At home, against the lesser teams, where they have 70 to 80 per cent of the ball, let Eze go and do what he wants because he will make something happen.
“It would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal.”
Eze thrives where Arsenal need help
A fresh option in the number ten role is needed at the Emirates to push Martin Odegaard.
Odegaard’s form was below par last season, making a move for Eze all the more sensible.
| Statistic | Martin Odegaard | Eberechi Eze |
| Shots | 1.86 | 3.48 |
| Successful take-ons | 0.97 | 2.33 |
| Key passes | 2.44 | 2.02 |
When looking at what the two players offer, it’s clear to see where the Englishman could add a new dimension to Arteta’s front line, being an avid runner and shot-taker.
Depth in quality is what Arsenal need, and fortunately, the opportunity is there for Berta to make a move for one of the best around.
