Premier League star would ‘jump at the chance to sign for Arsenal’ as Andrea Berta makes enquiry

Andrea Berta is already preparing for the summer transfer window at Arsenal, with one target being Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento.

Changes will be made to the Arsenal squad this summer, regardless of what happens from now until the end of the season.

While fans are desperate to see a new attacker arrive, as Arsenal desperately need a new winger, changes to the defence are also anticipated.

Ben White could leave Arsenal at the end of the season, and a possible replacement, Tino Livramento, is already eager to come in.

Tino Livramento would love to sign for Arsenal amid transfer interest

On X, reliable Arsenal insider Hand of Arsenal reported Everton’s interest in White.

The source also took a moment to set the scene regarding full-backs who could replace White, naming Livramento as one, and Bournemouth’s Alex Jimenez as another.

Hand of Arsenal noted that ‘most of the names’ Arsenal have been linked to ‘have been enquired about’ by Berta, then sharing Livramento’s stance on potentially leaving Newcastle for the Gunners.

“Livramento, for example, would jump at the chance to sign for Arsenal,” Hand of Arsenal wrote, adding that Jimenez’s stance would be similar if Berta firmed up interest.

That’s two Premier League-proven full-backs who would be eager to join Arsenal, but it’s unclear who Berta’s top target in the position will actually be.

Livramento would cost Arsenal a fortune

Both full-backs are encouraging options to replace White, but it has to be said, when it comes to Livramento, alarm bells sound.

Newcastle are willing to let Livramento leave for the right price, but the price they’ve set is a minimum of £60m.

Paying so much for an injury-prone player, who, despite being quality, is being valued by his club at a figure almost double his actual market value.

Transfermarkt indicate that Livramento is worth £34.6m at present, which makes Newcastle’s asking price seem extortionate.

As Berta will know, there’s a price for players, and then there’s a price for Premier League players in the market.

It’s unclear whether Livramento for £60m would be a good buy, but all will become clearer as the summer draws closer.
