Arsenal have been mooted as a possible destination for Marcus Rashford amid doubts about his future at Manchester United.
It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his attacking contingent at Arsenal, and for good reason.
Whilst Gabriel Jesus stunned Arsenal fans as he returned to form in spectacular fashion with a hat-trick against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening, the fact remains that the Gunners need more firepower.
Between Jesus and Kai Havertz, Arteta does not have a truly prolific centre-forward to call upon at the Emirates Stadium.
As such, Arsenal have been linked with Marcus Rashford.

Why Arsenal don’t want to sign Marcus Rashford now
Rashford is capable of leading the line, but is perhaps at his best on the left flank, where he would offer competition for the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard at Arsenal.
Manchester United have put Rashford up for sale, amid their own financial concerns and the forward’s poor recent form.
A fresh start and a new environment may be exactly what the England international needs to get back to his best.
However, despite having once had him on their shortlist, the Gunners are no longer interested in pursuing a deal for the Old Trafford outcast.
According to the Daily Mail: “There are no currently no indications that Arsenal will consider revisiting their tentative summer interest in Marcus Rashford either.
“Rashford featured on a list of potential forward signings identified by the Gunners last summer.
“However, the predicted cost of signing Rashford meant Arsenal did not pursue their initial interest in the player last summer and despite recent developments Mail Sport are not aware of any plans to move for the 27-year-old.”
Arsenal striker transfer targets
Arsenal have been told that they need a striker, and that is very much the case.
Arteta has other targets in his sights beyond Rashford.
Arsenal are still working on a deal for Benjamin Sesko, after the Slovenian rejected a switch to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
On top of that, whilst Arsenal have some reservations about Viktor Gyokeres, largely due to his price tag, he is another candidate who could come in to give Arteta’s side more cutting edge in the final third.
