Arsenal transfer update on Reiss Nelson

As per the Athletic, Arsenal are prepared to allow Hale End product Nelson leave the club on a permanent transfer this summer.

Nelson underwent surgery on a hamstring injury that put an end to his time at Premier League outfit Fulham and now the 25-year-old will be allowed to depart the Emirates Stadium for good.

The winger impressed during his spell at Fulham before the unfortunate injury and now just has to prove his fitness this summer in an attempt to attract potential suitors.

Leandro Trossard is in talks over a new Arsenal contract and should an agreement be reached with the club, Trossard would push Nelson down the pecking order once again in the eyes of Mikel Arteta.

Reiss Nelson should be given Premier League opportunity

Nelson proved during his loan spell at Fulham that he is more than capable of securing a move to a fellow Premier League club.

His pace and energy would be an asset to most clubs in the top flight, whilst possessing a composure when it comes to his final ball.

Marco Silva praised Nelson for his impact on the Fulham squad this season and a return to West London could be a potential destination.

If the winger can overcome his injury this summer and use pre-season as a chance to get fit and hit the ground running, whoever takes a chance on Nelson could well be on to a winner.
