Arsenal injury news and team updates

Arsenal have several team selection issues heading into the first leg against Real Madrid, with several players set to miss out.

Gabriel Magalhaes is out injured for the season, adding some problems to the backline that Mikel Arteta must sort through.

Ben White and Jurrien Timber appear to be available again, though, having featured against Everton, making his life a little easier.

The defensive ranks are missing Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who will be out for a while.

Raheem Sterling is suspended for the tie, with the winger picking up his third yellow card of the competition.

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are out for the rest of the season, leaving Arsenal short with a lack of centre-forward options.

Real Madrid team news and injury updates

A Real Madrid quartet of Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger, Vinicius Jr and Dani Ceballos are available after facing scrutiny and possible bans for their celebrations against Atletico Madrid.

Aurelien Tchouameni is suspended for picking up too many yellow cards, impacting their options in the midfield and backline.

Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy and Eder Militao are all guaranteed to miss out for Real Madrid.

There are doubts in the goalkeeper ranks as Thibaut Courtois isn’t certain to return from an injury, while Andriy Lunin was benched through injury against Valencia last time out.
