Arsenal loanee Mika Biereth has shone away from the Emirates this season, and is developing into one of the best youth prospects in Europe.
The 20-year-old was recently recalled from his loan spell at Motherwell after providing 11 goal and assist contributions in 15 games, before joining Austrian Bundesliga title challengers SK Sturm Graz.
He recently scored on his competitive debut for the club, and his progress this season will be closely monitored by Arsenal as he continues to shine upfront.
His time at Motherwell was exceptional, despite missing part of the season with a knee injury, to the extent that his club admitted their frustration when he was recalled.
His spell in Scotland saw him top a remarkable stat amongst European under-21 players, ahead of some big names.
Mika Biereth tops big chances created stat
X account Football Wonderkids has now published a list of the under-21 players in all European leagues with the most big chances created this season.
This list features talented youngsters from top clubs including Barcelona’s Pedri and Lamine Yamal, and Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga.
It also features Chelsea sensation Cole Palmer, and reported Arsenal target Xavi Simons, who is thriving at RB Leipzig.
However, Biereth tops the list alongside Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, as he has created 10 big chances this season, notching up six assists.
Mika Biereth’s style of play

Biereth himself has admitted that he believes he is similar to Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, and he is a striker who is deadly in front of goal.
However, he is more than a simple poacher, as his presence upfront helps create space for his teammates, and he is often selfless in front of goal as he provides chances for others and registers assists as well as goals.
He recently admitted that trading Motherwell for Sturm Graz would allow him to thrive even more, given the Austrian side’s more attacking style, and this could mean he ends up creating more chances and scoring more than before.
Biereth will give Arsenal a decision to make in the summer if he continues his fine form. Whilst he may not yet be ready for a first-team chance under Mikel Arteta, he is certainly someone who could continue to develop into a striker who could eventually play under the Spaniard, or at the very least, thrive at a club in England’s top two divisions on loan next season.
