Arsenal may be concerned about the fitness of Kai Havertz after what they did following news of the star’s injury.
The German international has been a key part of the team for Mikel Arteta since he made the move from Chelsea a few years ago.
Kai Havertz has offered versatility alongside an ideal work rate and plenty of quality, though his previous campaign was thwarted by injuries.
Despite Arsenal signing Viktor Gyokeres to compete with him up front, there has been some hope that the pair will be pushing each other all the way.
However, Havertz’s injury is set to sideline him for a while, as he recovers from a knee issue he picked up.
It’s unclear exactly how long the star will be out for, but Arsenal’s reaction to it may not spell good news, after Fabrizio Romano revealed exactly what happened afterwards.

Arsenal’s emergency meeting after Kai Havertz’s injury points to potential concern
While it’s unclear exactly how long Havertz could be out for, it seems likely that any return won’t be until after the international break.
It may be even longer, however, given how Arsenal reacted to the issue that he has suffered from.
Fabrizio Romano said on the Here We Go podcast: “They had a meeting, an emergency meeting internally at Arsenal to decide what to do after the injury of Havertz.
“Maybe go for a number nine, maybe go for a number 10, maybe for a winger.”
In the end, Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze, who can cover the left wing, left midfield and number ten position if needed.
However, the emergency meeting surrounding Havertz certainly suggests that it could be a longer lay-off than first anticipated.
If it were a short-term injury, then many clubs may have left it, waiting until after the window closes to deal with their solutions internally.
However, holding that meeting and then going out to spend millions in the market again may well hint at a deeper problem.

What games could Kai Havertz now miss for Arsenal
While it’s tough to put a timeframe on the Havertz injury, as there is no clear explanation for what the problem is, it may at least see him miss the next game.

When they return from that break, some tough fixtures follow, including Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle in succession.
Arsenal will be hopeful about having their full squad available, especially following injuries to Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
However, it remains to be seen exactly what Havertz could be back in action again.
