Andrea Berta targets Adrian Nino from Atletico Madrid
Andrea Berta is set to be appointed as Arsenal’s new sporting director, and the Italian is already making transfer plans ahead of the summer.
The Gunners are reportedly keeping tabs on 20-year-old Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Nino, with Berta keen on raiding his former club.
Atletico don’t want to sell the talented youngster, although Edu’s replacement is confident of using his connections at the Metropolitano to his advantage.
Nino has made just one La Liga appearance but is highly thought of in the Spanish capital.

Arsenal’s deal for Joan Garcia isn’t advanced
A new back-up goalkeeper is on Arsenal’s agenda this summer, with a replacement for Neto needed in Arteta’s ranks.
Joan Garcia has long been the man linked with the role as David Raya’s deputy, but Arsenal Insider understands that the deal isn’t as advanced as some reports suggest.
The Espanyol number one was keen on a switch to the Emirates last summer, but his stock has risen now and he may not be willing to accept a back-up role.
This could mean that Arsenal are forced to pivot their attention away from Garcia and towards a different target.

Arsenal in talks to sell Sambi Lokonga
Sambi Lokonga joined Sevilla on loan in the summer, in a deal that included an option to buy.
The midfielder has largely impressed when he’s featured for the Spanish side, although he’s been limited to just 12 La Liga starts thus far this campaign.
Sevilla are now said to be looking to renegotiate their £10 million buy option for Lokonga, who wants to join the serial Europa League winners permanently.
They view the fee as too substantial and are looking to hold talks with Arsenal about the possibility of lowering it.
