Viktor Gyokeres is enduring a very tough spell in an Arsenal shirt right now, with supporters questioning whether Andrea Berta was right to sign him.
Gyokeres is facing a crucial week at Arsenal with games against Club Brugge and Wolves offering him a great chance to get back amongst the goals.
Brugge have been in poor form and have just sacked their manager; meanwhile, Wolves are coming off the back of a 4-1 home defeat to Manchester United.
Away at Aston Villa, Gyokeres was very poor off the bench as he struggled to make an impact when the Gunners really needed him.
Fans have now been raising strong concerns over their new number nine signing, but they simply cannot give up faith in the 27-year-old just yet.

Viktor Gyokeres’ determination to join Arsenal should buy him plenty of time
Viktor Gyokeres’ efforts to force through a move to Arsenal should buy him more than enough time with supporters to find his feet in North London.
Over the summer, Andrea Berta fought tooth and nail to bring him to Arsenal in what ended up being a dramatic transfer saga with Sporting CP.
The Portuguese club continually changed the goalposts over a deal, making it increasingly tricky for the Swede to leave the club.
Behind the scenes, Arsenal were so impressed by Gyokeres’ desire to join and to prove himself in the Premier League.
What is the problem here? Viktor Gyokeres or Arsenal’s style?
Arsenal eventually agreed to pay £63 million to sign Gyokeres; however, the striker had to forgo certain financial elements to facilitate the deal.
First of all, Gyokeres refused to train with Sporting in a bid to put pressure on the club to agree to sell him to the Gunners. Then, Gyokeres gave up almost £2 million of his Sporting salary.
After all those efforts, it’s only fair that Arsenal fans now give him the support that he needs to hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium.
Against Burnley, Gyokeres had his best Arsenal performance to date, only for a hamstring injury to halt his progress.
Viktor Gyokeres should be trusted to start against Wolves
Mikel Merino has been in great goal-scoring form lately, but against a struggling Wolves team, this could be Gyokeres’ chance to get a hatful.
Wolves were all over the place against United, losing 4-1 and allowing the Red Devils to have 25 shots at goal at Molineux.
Who should start up front against Wolves?
Gyokeres or Merino? Let us know in the comments…
The Swede has so far benefitted against teams that like to come to N5 and sit in, acting almost as a battering ram against low blocks.
Hopeful Mikel Arteta will see this as a great opportunity for the striker to add to his Premier League goal tally of four.
