Aaron Ramsdale exploring loan move away from Southampton
According to talkSPORT, Southampton are exploring the idea of a loan move for former Gunners goalkeeper Ramsdale following their relegation from the Premier League.
Ramsdale’s wages are an issue for the Saints in the Championship and Galatasaray and Rangers are among the clubs interested in a temporary deal.
Arsenal have a sell-on clause for Ramsdale but with no transfer fee involved in a loan move, the Gunners would have to wait for any potential cash boost.
Ramsdale was described as ‘incredible’ by his former manager Russell Martin but could not prevent the club from going straight back down to the second tier.
Galatasaray have never been relegated amid Aaron Ramsdale transfer links
Ramsdale has had some tough times during his career and has now been relegated from the Premier League with three different clubs.
He experienced the dreaded drop with Bournemouth and Sheffield United before making his move to the Emirates Stadium and last season finished bottom with Southampton.
| Aaron Ramsdale’s Premier League record | Appearances | Goals conceded | Clean sheets |
| Ramsdale | 183 | 278 | 41 |
One of the club’s interested in Ramsdale are Galatasaray and they are one of three clubs to have never been relegated from Turkey’s top flight.
Alongside Besiktas and Fenerbahce, the Turkish giants hold a proud record and usually compete in the higher reaches of the division. Ramsdale couldn’t experience more heartache there, could he?
