Arsenal are intent on getting their business done efficiently this summer.
Mikel Arteta’s side are desperate to end their trophy drought next season and are already eyeing deals for Benjamin Sesko and Rodrygo to bolster attacking options.
Andrea Berta has sent shockwaves around Europe with his aggressive nature to negotiations for transfer targets and Arsenal are hoping that tactic will help secure what they need.
Arsenal are interested in Jorrel Hato as the Gunners eye further recruitment in defensive areas but the first signing of the summer looks set to be in another position of need. A player that has been involved in some controversy previously.

Chris Sutton claimed imminent Arsenal signing Kepa Arrizabalaga should have been ‘sacked’ at Chelsea
Arsenal are set to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga after Berta activated the Chelsea keeper’s £5m release clause to provide back-up to David Raya.
Arrizabalaga impressed during a season-long loan spell at Premier League outfit Bournemouth but was once involved in major controversy at Chelsea during a Carabao Cup final back in 2019.
The Spanish international refused to be substituted in the last minute of extra time and went on to play a significant role in his side losing the penalty shoot out to Manchester City.
Former Premier League winner Chris Sutton was furious over the incident and speaking on BT Sports as per the Express in 2019, claimed the goalkeeper should have been ‘sacked’.
Sutton stated: “He should have been sacked. You can’t do that. You can’t undermine the manager like that.”
Kepa Arrizabalaga is a smart signing for Arsenal
Arrizabalaga is a pivotal signing for Arsenal, he may not be the flying winger or explosive striker that the club still needs to obtain but his importance will become clear throughout the campaign.
Previous title winners in Liverpool and Manchester City have had to rely on their number two keepers at some point and Neto did not provide Arteta with the option of rotating last season.
| Kepa Arrizabalaga’s Premier League record | Appearances | Goals conceded | Clean sheets |
| Arrizabalaga | 140 | 168 | 43 |
Arrizabalaga will relish the competition with Raya and having two goalkeepers believing that they have the capabilities to be the number one can only be a good thing for the Gunners.
The Chelsea man has proven he has matured since the incident at Wembley and £5m will look a bargain come the end of the campaign.
