With just one day left in the transfer market, Arsenal are pushing hard to get any final deals over the line to help Mikel Arteta and his squad options.
The Gunners are looking particularly thin in the forward ranks, with injuries starting to make a huge impact on the side.
With Bukayo Saka’s hamstring tear and Gabriel Jesus’ ACL injury, it’s clear that Arsenal need some reinforcements for the rest of the season.
There has been a clear push from the owners, with a £60million bid for Ollie Watkins made but rejected by Aston Villa.
It puts doubts over whether a move will be made at all but fortunately for the coaching team, it looks like work is being done in the background as the deadline looms.

Arsenal make contact for late Mathys Tel transfer
Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Mathys Tel, with the Bayern Munich star heavily rumoured with an exit.
With the Gunners needing a new forward, the 19-year-old represents a versatile option who can play across the frontline and provides plenty of promise.
Tel rejected a transfer to Tottenham, according to reports, despite the Lilywhites pushing hard to get a deal done.
With that saga seemingly over, it hasn’t stopped Arsenal from making their move as the Guardian reports that the side are looking to land the star on loan.
They aren’t alone in that interest though, with rivals Manchester United also in the frame as they look to improve their options in the forward areas.
Fabrizio Romano adds that both Arsenal and Man United have made “contact” for Tel in the hours of the window that remain.
The transfer expert adds that Tel holds an admiration for Thierry Henry, which could help seal a deal for the youngster.
However, he also idolises Cristiano Ronaldo, which could further complicate where he decides to move.

What Thierry Henry has said about Arsenal transfer target Mathys Tel
With Henry being one of his idols, Tel would’ve been delighted to hear the praise that the Arsenal legend had for him in 2024.
Taking charge of the French Olympic side last summer, the former forward was asked about the possibility of calling up the Bayern Munich ace.
Henry told the media: “He does extraordinary things, when he enters a match, you see it.
“Already, he is scoring goals. When he comes on, he always faces forward. And even if he plays only one minute, he creates two chances.
“This is not to be overlooked. Of course, he still has things to work on, playing with his back to goal, with his control.
“But he already has what you sometimes have to say to an attacker; ‘You have to press, you have to run behind the defence, you have to be tough.’
“He already does all that, and scores goals. It’s still quite impressive, especially considering his minutes.”
Arsenal could offer even more minutes and a chance at silverware this season for the star, though it depends on the outcome of the final hours of the market.
