Arsenal must look to welcome attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Pressure is rising at Arsenal following Bukayo Saka’s hamstring injury.

Mikel Arteta has been warned ahead of the January transfer window, as fans demand the Gunners to enter the market with a plan after Saka’s blow.

Now that it’s clear that Saka will be out for months as he recovers from surgery, Arsenal must scan the market for a top talent to add to the attack.

After Arteta failed in the summer transfer window, the Arsenal manager has ground to cover this winter, here are three Premier League-proven players that the Gunners could eye in January.

Three Premier League players Arsenal must target

Mohammed Kudus

Mohammed Kudus has been linked to Arsenal before and quite frankly, there’s little reason as to why Arteta shouldn’t test the water to sign him.

The Ghanaian is the perfect fit for the Premier League and despite impressing at West Ham, his falling out with Julen Lopetegui could present the start of the end of his career at the London Stadium.

Arsenal would have to pay £85m to sign Kudus, who will have a release clause in place to protect his value in east London.

Being a player of great versatility and power going forward, Arteta must consider the ready-made Premier League jewel, who could be of great use to Arsenal.

Bryan Mbeumo

Across London at the Gtech Community Stadium, Bryan Mbeumo ‘stands out’ to Arteta.

The Arsenal manager admires the Brentford forward, and for good reason, as Mbeumo has already reached double figures in the scoring charts this season.

Given the Gunners’ current attacking injury woes, Mbeumo could be the perfect replacement for Saka, whom he shares the right-wing position with.

Matheus Cunha

Another Premier League star linked to Arsenal is Matheus Cunha of Wolves, who is making waves in the West Midlands this season.

Despite the understanding that Wolves will not wish to sell the Brazilian in January, every player has a price, which Arsenal should exploit.

Arsenal are admirers of Cunha, who has contributed to 45% of Wolves’ Premier League goals this season, being a shining light for the relegation-threatened side.
