Arsenal are working hard to make the most of the January transfer window with less than two weeks remaining.
There are concerns for Arsenal’s squad depth as injuries continue to plague Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The Gunners are trailing Liverpool by six points in the Premier League title race and with Nottingham Forest closely following, Arsenal’s next move must be meaningful.
Arsenal are expected to welcome a forward in the January transfer window however, there’s also speculation regarding who could leave the Emirates before the end of the month.

Kieran Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior transfer doubts
Given the situation Arteta is combatting with the lack of depth in the Arsenal squad, the idea of a player leaving N5 this month is rather puzzling.
The reality is that an exit is possible, as The Athletic outlined in a transfer update that focused on the Gunners’ defence.
More specifically, there has been an update on the situation regarding Arsenal’s left-backs, with several player’s futures in doubt.
Kieran Tierney has been linked to Celtic, and elsewhere Oleksandr Zinchenko is appreciated by Borussia Dortmund.
To throw another spanner in the works, Jakub Kiwior has generated interest from Italy, with The Athletic now confirming that one of the trio could leave this window.
It’s stated that this is because of ‘the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly’ in the left-back position, opening the door for one player in the pecking order to depart.
Arteta is an admirer of Lewis-Skelly’s versatility and has shown he’s not afraid to utilise the 18-year-old, who is arguably ahead of summer signing Riccardo Calafiori in the squad right now.
Kieran Tierney ‘most likely’ to leave Arsenal
The teenager’s stance in the starting XI is not set to go away, as Arsenal are planning to offer Lewis-Skelly a new contract amid his rise.
It’s a huge plus for the 18-year-old and those at Hale End but, the youngster’s rise has had repercussions for those below him in the pecking order.
In their report, The Athletic admitted that an exit for Tierney ‘seems most likely’ at this moment, particularly with Celtic eyeing a heartwarming reunion with their former player.

The Athletic state that if Tierney can ‘agree a pre-contract’ with the Scottish champions, the Celts ‘may try’ to accelerate the deal to acquire the 27-year-old this month.
Given the left-back’s connection to Celtic, a move would be unsurprising, with it clear that Tierney is not part of Arteta’s plans at the Emirates.
