The 2024/25 Premier League season is officially over, and for Arsenal, it was marked by disappointment in missing out on the title.

There was both a hope and expectation that the Gunners could win the league this season, following two years of finishing as runners-up.

After a mixture of injuries, suspensions and poor performances, Arsenal missed out on lifting the title to their rivals Liverpool.

In the end, Arsenal finished second for a third time in a row, with Mikel Arteta left to dissect exactly how the season went.

So, with that said, here’s a look at every Arsenal player’s rating from the 2024/25 season.

David Raya – 9

One of Arsenal’s top performers this season, David Raya has been nothing short of fantastic between the sticks.

The Spaniard has kept the Gunners in many games throughout the course of the campaign, with his sharp reflexes playing a part in some outstanding saves.

With Raya winning the Golden Glove for consecutive seasons, the Arsenal goalkeeper will now be looking to carry that form into next season.

Neto – 3

Neto joined on loan from Bournemouth to play the backup role, while adding some experience to the goalkeeping ranks.

While his one appearance was in a win over Girona, he did make an error that led to a goal.

Neto was also cup-tied for the Carabao Cup, meaning he wasn’t available to play in a match when desperately needed, knocking his rating down by one.

Takehiro Tomiyasu – N/A

Through no fault of his own, injury problems caught up with Takehiro Tomiyasu again as he managed just a few minutes of action.

Tomiyasu’s surgery now means he is out for an extended period of time.

Jurrien Timber – 8

After a first season plagued with injury, Jurrien Timber finally got to show Arsenal fans exactly what he is capable of.

The defender was extremely solid defensively, which included impressive displays in the two-legged win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Timber ventured forward on occasions to show his own quality in the final third, while his versatility was useful at moments when the squad was stretched thin with injuries.

Ben White – 5

Ben White has struggled with injuries throughout the season, making it extremely tough for the Arsenal star to play at his full potential.

The defender suffered from a long lay-off after knee surgery and looked rusty upon returning.

White will be hopeful that some rest, a proper pre-season at Arsenal and some more minutes will get him back to full fitness and ability again.

William Saliba – 6

It was a bit of a polarising season from William Saliba, as the Arsenal star showed plenty of good and bad parts to his play.

The Frenchman showed his usual ability to deal with opposition attackers, conducting the backline in an impressive way.

However, mistakes started to creep into his game, with Saliba’s red card against Bournemouth the first one, with sloppy passes giving away goals at key moments in the following matches.

Gabriel Magalhaes – 8

A colossal presence at the back, Arsenal fans found a new appreciation for Gabriel Magalhaes during this Premier League season.

The Brazilian was first to everything in the air in both boxes, scoring plenty of goals on top of his usual defensive duties.

Gabriel’s injury came as a huge blow at the wrong time for the Gunners, who could have enjoyed a different season if he had been fit.

Jakub Kiwior – 7

It’s been a tale of two halves of the season for Jakub Kiwior, who struggled to make an impression in the first half.

However, following Gabriel’s injury, the Polish international stepped up to the plate when featuring at centre-back.

While Kiwior’s transfer future is unclear, he has shown that the quality is there to play regularly.

Riccardo Calafiori – 5

It may not have been the season that Riccardo Calafiori wanted when joining Arsenal last season from Bologna.

Injuries regularly hampered the Italian international, who was in and out of the team at different points throughout.

There were signs of quality in his play, however, showing that he can make an impact.

Myles Lewis-Skelly – 8

A breakout campaign that many didn’t see coming, Myles Lewis-Skelly has firmly planted his flag down as a senior Arsenal player.

Coming through the Hale End academy, the 18-year-old featured in an unorthodox position at left-back, but his midfield traits meant he could invert into the central areas with ease.

Mikel Arteta started to prefer Lewis-Skelly over his more senior options, showing just how impressive his performances have been.

The only negatives may well be the red cards and penalties picked up, though ultimately, it meant very little in an otherwise amazing year.

Oleksandr Zinchenko – 3

An extremely difficult campaign for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who failed to get many meaningful minutes for Arsenal.

The defender saw his place in the team taken by two others, putting his future into doubt.

Kieran Tierney – 3

Another player who has been phased out of the team is Kieran Tierney, who had very little to contribute to the campaign.

The defender spent a few months recovering from injury, but was then handed cameo appearances in matches.

With Tierney set to leave Arsenal as a free agent, there was a fitting end to the popular star as he scored in his final match.

Thomas Partey – 6

Fitness has been the key to Thomas Partey’s stay in the team, with the midfielder receiving regular minutes once again.

While questions may be asked about a possible upgrade in the future, the Ghanaian international was fairly solid in his outings.

Partey’s contract expires in the summer, though his displays are leading towards a potential renewal.

Declan Rice – 9

In contention to be named Player of the Season, Declan Rice has proven his worth yet again for Arsenal.

The midfielder was a driving force throughout the campaign, moving his position to a more advanced role on the left.

Rice’s free-kicks against Real Madrid will be etched into the history books forever, while it is scary to think he is capable of plenty more in the future.

Jorginho – 4

Jorginho is another player who has struggled for minutes this season, but has played his role as an experienced player well.

The midfielder was often used in cup matches and late in games to control the game, while his coaching from the sidelines was seen throughout the season.

Mikel Merino – 7

This season can only be described as bizarre for Mikel Merino.

The Spaniard was signed from Real Sociedad to be a left-sided midfielder, but injury hampered him early on.

Upon his recovery, minutes were hard to come by until he was given an opportunity to play as a centre-forward.

Injury to Kai Havertz means Merino filled in as a striker, and he was impressive there too, bagging some important goals.

Martin Odegaard – 4

It was a season to forget for Martin Odegaard, who simply struggled in almost every aspect.

An ankle injury hit Odegaard for several months, while his return wasn’t flush with goals and assists.

The Arsenal club captain managed his lowest return of goal involvements since joining permanently, something he will be looking to improve upon.

Ethan Nwaneri – 6

It was a breakout campaign for Ethan Nwaneri, who cemented himself as a player capable of featuring in the senior team.

The Arsenal youngster impressed on the right flank, scoring a trademark goal where he cuts inside and curls an effort into the back of the net.

Game time did dry up for him, though, leaving doubts over the future of Nwaneri.

Bukayo Saka – 7

Bukayo Saka enjoyed a decent season for Arsenal, showing plenty of quality with his performances.

The winger was on his way to landing a record number of assists in a season, but injuries impacted Saka and kept him out for months.

Had he been available and performing at the level he has been, then perhaps the season would have ended differently.

Gabriel Martinelli – 6

It’s been a challenging campaign for Gabriel Martinelli, who struggled in the opening stages of the season.

However, the Arsenal star found his form once again in the second half of the campaign, showing he can be the one to lead the frontline.

Leandro Trossard – 6

Much like Martinelli, Leandro Trossard has struggled at times to find the form that has been missing in front of goal.

There have been moments where the Belgian international has popped up with important goals, though, helping to push the team forward.

Trossard is the only outfield player to make an appearance in every Premier League game this season, underlining his availability as an important attribute.

Raheem Sterling – 2

The transfer flop of the season for Arsenal, Raheem Sterling’s move to the Emirates Stadium simply hasn’t worked out for anyone.

The winger was unable to break into the team on a consistent basis, even when there was an injury crisis in the forward ranks.

With just one goal and five assists in his spell, Sterling has been a huge disappointment for Arsenal, with his return to Chelsea from his loan ending the frustrating campaign he endured.

Kai Havertz – 7

Kai Havertz, when fit and available, showed he was more than capable of being a starting striker for Arsenal.

The German international bagged some important goals at a time when the club backed him to play regularly.

Havertz probably would have hit double figures for goals if he hadn’t picked up such a big injury in the second half of the season, and he has proven that he has a part to play next season in any position.

Gabriel Jesus – 5

Gabriel Jesus may be frustrated by the campaign, as the star was unable to have the impact he would have hoped for.

The forward continued his goalless streak into the new year, but displayed great confidence when hitting a scoring streak against Crystal Palace.

A serious injury followed, however, which put an end to his season.
