Arsenal could be in for a busy end to the January transfer window as deadline day fast approaches, here are six deals that could happen.

The narrative surrounding Arsenal at present is the need for an attacker to be integrated into the squad at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta made it clear that he wants a new striker, with it understood that Arsenal are willing to sign a forward before deadline day.

With time ticking down and speculation flying, it’s unclear who Arsenal will bring in and, who could leave the Gunners this window.

Arsenal interested in Mathys Tel transfer

Signing Mathys Tel on loan could be perfect for Arsenal but, the wantaway Bayern Munich striker won’t be easy to acquire.

Tottenham are reported to be eager to seal a permanent deal for Tel, who has been linked to Arsenal this winter.

Given that Tel has expressed his desire to leave Bayern and will be on the move, his next steps will be something to monitor.

Ollie Watkins second bid expected

Arsenal fans were stunned as the news broke that the Gunners had offered £60m for Ollie Watkins.

Aston Villa are thought to be angry at Arsenal’s approach and rejected the bid immediately.

A deal for Watkins will be difficult to pull off now that Jhon Duran is set for a move to Al-Nassr but, it will be interesting to see if the Gunners offer an improved bid.

Unai Emery hinted that Watkins could leave for the right price, with the ball in Arsenal’s court.

Sverre Nypan to make transfer decision

Arsenal are one of the clubs eyeing Sverre Nypan, a young Norweigan midfielder wanted by several sides.

Nypan, who currently represents Rosenborg in his home country, is being monitored closely by Arsenal.

David Ornstein confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Nypan, who is set to be on the move this winter.

Kieran Tierney could join Celtic early

On the subject of outgoings, Kieran Tierney could leave Arsenal earlier than anticipated.

After Brendan Rodgers confirmed Tierney’s transfer from Arsenal to Celtic, which has been pre-agreed, the manager revealed that he’d like the left-back to make the move in January.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal allow the 27-year-old to leave this month or, whether he will have to wait until the summer.

Jakub Kiwior’s Arsenal future is in jeopardy as the defender is generating interest in Italy.

It’s been reported that Arsenal rejected a bid from Juventus for Kiwior, who has struggled to impose himself in North London.

While Arteta wants to keep Kiwior, the Poland international’s future remains in doubt, which is something to watch over the next few days.

Oleksandr Zinchenko wanted by Borussia Dortmund

Another player who could leave the Gunners before deadline day is Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko is wanted by Borussia Dortmund, with interest coming at an interesting time given that the Ukrainian is far from Arteta’s immediate plans.

It’s been reported that Zinchenko is eager to leave Arsenal, with Dortmund yet to make an official offer.
